About EN 590 10ppm
EN 590 10ppm is our principal grade and the one most of our enquiries concern. It is the automotive diesel specification in force across the European Union and adopted well beyond it, defined by a sulphur ceiling of 10 milligrams per kilogram — the figure the grade is named for, and the reason it is described as ultra low sulphur.
The specification exists because modern diesel engines cannot tolerate more. Sulphur poisons the catalysts in selective catalytic reduction systems and blinds diesel particulate filters, so any vehicle built to Euro V or Euro VI requires 10ppm fuel to meet its emissions certification at all. That makes the grade non-negotiable for road fuel importers, and it is why the sulphur line at the top of the specification table matters more than any other figure on it.
We offer EN 590 10ppm FOB Houston, Jurong, Fujairah and Rotterdam, FOB CIS ports, and on CIF or CFR terms to a named discharge port. Cold flow properties are set by the destination and season: the CFPP figure below shows a representative summer and winter pair, and the grade is blended to the climatic class the contract specifies. Tell us the destination port, the quantity and the month and we will quote against it.

An enquiry naming the product, the quantity, the destination port and the delivery term can be answered the same week. One missing two of those four generates a round of questions before anything can move.
