Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is deliberately specific: it describes what this site actually does rather than covering every possibility.

Terms

What we collect

This website collects personal data in one place only: the enquiry form. There is no account system, no newsletter, and no advertising or analytics tracking that profiles you across other websites.

When you submit an enquiry we receive the information you type into the form, together with technical information necessarily transmitted by your browser.

  • Full name, company name and country
  • Email address and, if you provide it, telephone number
  • The commercial details of your enquiry: product, quantity, destination port and delivery term
  • Any message you choose to write
  • Your IP address, used to apply rate limiting to the form and to protect it from automated abuse

Why we collect it

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to assess whether we can supply what you are asking for, and to carry out the counterparty and compliance checks required before entering into any transaction.

Where an enquiry leads to a commercial relationship, the information becomes part of our records for that relationship and is retained accordingly. Where it does not, we retain it only for as long as is reasonably necessary for our business records and to meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build a marketing profile of you.

Who processes it

Handling an enquiry involves a small number of service providers acting as processors on our behalf.

  • Vercel Inc., which hosts this website and processes the request that carries your form submission
  • Resend, which delivers the notification email generated by your enquiry
  • Our email provider, where the enquiry is then read and answered

Where data is processed

Our service providers operate internationally, and processing may take place outside the country you are writing from, including in the United States and the European Union.

Where personal data of individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred, we rely on the safeguards our providers have in place for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not use third-party tracking scripts.

Fonts are self-hosted and served from the same domain as the site, so displaying a page on this website does not generate a request to any third-party font service.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict our processing of it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format.

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details on the contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and enquiry submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access to the mailbox that receives enquiries is restricted to people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure. Please do not send bank details, payment instructions or identity documents through the enquiry form; we will never ask you to.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in how the site works or in the law. The version published on this page is the version in force.
